Organisations
Organisations in Eden Suite are a way of organising assets for reporting. Organisations are placed in an Organisation Hierarchy – a parent organisation reports on the total usage from all of the child organisations.
An organisation gets data from an asset via its “Relationship” with an asset. Relationships have start and finish dates that represent when an organisation starts getting data or stops getting data from an asset. Relationships can also be setup to “allocate” just part of an assets usage.

While an Asset Hierarchy looks at the structure of your parent/child type relationships for your Assets, the Organisation Hierarchy is designed to help you report in different ways by organising assets into different groups. Your Organisation Hierarchy is typically structured the way you see your business, often in the manner you would use for your operational reporting.
