“Factors” tab

Description

The “Factors” tab appears in reports:

  • GHG Inventory (export version)
  • FRD24 (tenant-version)

It shows the emission factors in effect during the relevant report month range.

Columns:

  • Emission Factor Type
    AIR_TRAVEL_EMISSION_FACTOR
    COAL_MINING_EMISSION_FACTOR
    ELECTRICITY_EMISSION_FACTOR
    GENERAL_EMISSION_FACTOR
    GWP_EMISSION_FACTOR
    PAPER_EMISSION_FACTOR
    SCOPE_3_NATURAL_GAS_EMISSION_FACTOR
    SOLID_LIQUID_GAS_EMISSION_FACTOR
    STAFF_TRAVEL_EMISSION_FACTOR
    SUPPLIER_EMISSION_FACTOR (future enhancement)
    TAXI_TRAVEL_EMISSION_FACTOR
    WASTE_EMISSION_FACTOR
    WATER_EMISSION_FACTOR
  • Emission Factor Sub Type (only for factor type = SOLID_LIQUID_GAS_EMISSION_FACTOR)
    SOLID
    LIQUID
    GAS
    TRANSPORT
  • Activity Group Name
  • Activity Name
  • Activity Fuel Type
  • Activity Unit
  • Activity Scope
  • Asset State (assets with location in this state will use the factor value(s) on this line) (If the activity’s calculator is not location specific, “ALL” will be displayed)
  • Emission Factor Set (name of the relevant emission factor set)
  • Factor Set Effective From (the first month when the emission factor set will be used in calculations for the activity)
  • Factor Set Effective To (the last month – if specified – when the emission factor set will be used in calculations for the activity)
  • Lookup1, Lookup2, Lookup3
Different activities and calculators require different lookups to select which emission factor value to use. “Lookups” may include fuel type, scope, unit and state
  • Lookup1Value, Lookup2Value, Lookup3Value
The value for the lookup pair (e.g. pair Lookup1, Lookup1Value)
  • Factor1, Factor2, …, Factor13
Once the emission factor has been identified via lookups, there may be a number of factor components that have to be applied in emission calculations.
Some activity calculations like GWP only have a single factor value, however others have more (staff travel has thirteen)
  • Factor1Value, Factor2Value, …, Factor13Value
The value for the factor pair (e.g. pair Factor1, Factor1Value)
