G2 Total Scope 2 (indirect electricity) greenhouse gas emissions (t CO2-e)

NOTE: as per the spreadsheet note for G2:
The emissions calculation for electricity-related activities uses the market-based method, as opposed to the location-based method used in previous FRD report versions.
This overrides any calculator configuration and is as per the requirements.

NOTE: to ensure electricity for charging electric vehicles is not counted in multiple line items, the consumption of electricity for electric vehicles from Victorian Government facilities will be captured implicitly via purchased electricity;
the consumption of electricity for electric vehicles from public and private facilities will be explicitly captured.

The activities in each of these groupings can be seen in the Configuration tab:

  AND activity is NOT subscribing

  Activities with fuel_type = Electricity
  AND activity is NOT subscribing
  AND activity name is one of Electricity for Road Vehicles from Public or Private Chargers, Electricity for Non-Road Vehicles from Public or Private Chargers

The G2 section individually lists the activities from Configuration tab code = G2_GREENHOUSE_GAS_EMISSIONS_SCOPE_2_INDIRECT_ELECTRICITY_CO2ET  :

• • Activities with report_scope = 2,
    AND activity is NOT included in FRD24_TRANSPORT_ELEC_COUNTED_IMPLICITLY_IN_EL1_PURCHASED
    (so as to exclude Government electric vehicle activities e.g. Electricity for Non-Road Vehicles from Victorian Government Facilities, Electricity for Road Vehicles from Victorian Government Facilities),
    AND any of the following are true for the activity:
    • fuel_type = Electricity
      OR activity name is any of Electricity, Cogen Electricity, Steam
      OR activity IS included in FRD24_TRANSPORT_ELEC_NOT_COUNTED_IN_EL1_PURCHASED
      (so as to include non-Government electric vehicle activities e.g. Electricity for Non-Road Vehicles from Public or Private Chargers, Electricity for Road Vehicles from Public or Private Chargers)
