These are set in an Activity Calculator Configuration with an effective month range.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Emission Factor Set<\/em> (emission factor set containing the relevant factor)<\/li>\n<li><em>Factor Lookup<\/em> (lookup key for the relevant emission factor)<\/li>\n<li><em>Scope 3 Calculation Method<\/em> (Note: this selection has no impact on the emissions calculation but features in reporting)<\/li>\n<li><em>Input to use to determine emissions<\/em>\n<ul>\n<li><em>co2e<\/em> : the input value of t CO2-e will be used as the emissions and no calculation or factor lookup will occur.<\/li>\n<li><em>Quantity<\/em> : the input value of Quantity will be used with an emission factor selected by the Factor Lookup and the <em><b>activity unit<\/b><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cost<\/em> : the input value of Cost will be used with an emission factor selected selected by the Factor Lookup and <em><b>unit = Dollars<\/b><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When entering data for an activity configured with the Scope 3 Supply Chain calculator, there are three available inputs. The input specified in <em>Input to use to determine emissions<\/em> MUST be specified and cannot equal zero.<\/p>\n<p>t CO2-e = A&lt;<em>unit<\/em>&gt; * EF&lt;<em>unit<\/em>&gt; \/ 1000<br \/>\nwhere<br \/>\nA = amount of <em>unit<\/em> (A may be Quantity or Cost)<br \/>\nEF = Scope 3 emission factor (kg CO2-e \/ <em>unit<\/em>) (<em>unit<\/em> may be the activity unit or Dollars)<\/p>\n<p>If t CO2-e is provided but <em>Input to use to determine emissions<\/em> is not &#8220;co2e&#8221;, the entered value will be saved but will not be used in emissions calculation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Scope 3 Supply Chain calculator has a number of configurations that MUST be specified for emissions calculations to occur.
